Presentation-1：Quantum mechanics vs band bending in surface photovoltaics
报告人：Dr. Zbigniew Karkuszewski,
简介：Dr. Zbigniew Karkuszewski is the president of Instytut Fotonowy, manufacturer of scientific instruments in Poland. He will give an invited talk on surface photovoltaics, in which he will introduce a full quantum mechanical view of Contact Potential Difference changes for type-p and type-n semiconductors under illumination, and provide arguments why widely used band banding phenomenology is incorrect and should be abandoned. He will also present their new product of photoelectric spectrometer and Kelvin probe for full characterization of light sensitive semiconductors.

Presentation-2：Reduction of small molecules in photocatalytic systems - what can we learn from spectroelectrochemical and photoelectrochemical measurements?

简介：Dr. Wojciech Macyk is a vice dean of Chemistry Department, Jagiellonian University, Poland. He will present briefly the Faculty of Chemistry, Jagiellonian University, and a short presentation on his research related to photocatalysis, including solar to chemical energy conversion, activation of small molecules in photocatalytic systems and redox characterization of photoactive materials.
