报告摘要:Understanding the structure-properties relations of electrocatalytic interfaces on molecular scales is of both fundamental and applied importance. In this presentation, I will discuss how the distribution and hydrogen-bonding connection of water molecules in the electric double layers vitally impact the potentials of zero charge (PZCs) and charging behaviors of metal electrodes, and accordingly their electrocatalytic behaviors for the hydrogen and oxygen electrode reactions. It will also be shown that the combination of ab-initio molecular dynamics (AIMD) simulations, in-situ surface-enhanced infrared absorption (SEIRAS), and computational vibration spectra can effectively unveil the complex structures of electrocatalytic interfaces.

陈胜利,武汉大学教授,分别于19911996年在武汉大学获得学士和博士学位,在英国帝国理工学院化学系等进行博士后研究;长期从事与能源转化有关的电化学基础与材料研究,如电催化、电极过程动力学、理论与计算电化学等; Nat. Catal.J. Am. Chem. Soc.Nat. Commun.Adv. Mater.等期刊发表论文160余篇,作为主编之一出版《电催化》书籍;主持国家自然科学基金重点项目等;担任ACS Catalysis (2018-2022)、催化学报、电化学等期刊编委;获中国电化学青年奖。
