报告摘要：What makes a good paper? How do I choose a journal to publish in? How do I have an impact as a researcher? All of these are valid questions from students to fully-fledged professors. In this talk, I aim to give you a taste into the mind of a Nature Portfolio editor. The Nature Portfolio publishes a wide array of research, from our flagship journal, Nature, to Nature Research, Nature Communications, Communications Journals, and Scientific Reports. I will explain the editorial process, peer review, and editorial decisions we make. Lastly, I’ll present some tips for preparing your manuscript, perhaps to submit your next paper to the Nature Portfolio.

报告人简介：Dr. Jet-Sing Lee joined the Nature Portfolio in 2022 as an Associate Editor. He is currently an editor for Communications Materials and Nature Water but has also made editorial decisions for Nature, Nature Energy, and Nature Communications. Jet regularly writes research highlights on work he finds interesting from the research community in Nature Reviews Chemistry and Nature Reviews Materials. Jet has over 10 years of research experience before transitioning to an editor, with a Ph.D. in materials chemistry from the UK, and postdoc and research assistant professor positions in Japan.
