报告人:  Prof. Dr. René Michael Königs，RWTH Aachen University

Prof. Dr. R. M. Königs was born in 1983 in Hanau, Germany. He studied chemistry at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main from 2002 to 2008. In 2011, he obtained his PhD degree at RWTH Aachen University under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Magnus Rueping. In 2011-2013, he worked as a Post-Doc in Lead Optimization Chemistry at Grünenthal GmbH. He then became a head of laboratory at Grünenthal GmbH. Since Oct. 2015, he moved to RWTH Aachen University as a junior professor. He was a visiting professor at the University of New South Wales during Feb.-March 2017, and Dec. 2018-March 2019.

His research is dedicated to the chemistry of reactive small molecules and their application to organic synthesis, which mainly includes three key technologies:  reactive intermediates in organic synthesis, continuous-flow chemistry, and medicinal chemistry. He has received many awards and honors, such as, Thieme Award  for the best lecture at the 26th bioorganic symposium at TU Berlin (2017), Thieme Journal Award (2017), Borchers medal of RWTH Aachen University (2011) etc.
