Abstract:

Have you ever wondered what it is like to be an editor of a top chemistry journal like Angewandte Chemie or Chemistry – A European Journal? What does an editor really do all day? What is an Editor looking for when he/she reads a paper? What issues arise and what responsibilities do you have as an editor of a society-owned journal? What sort of ethical cases are faced and how are they dealt with. And finally, what sort of amusing content and comments are submitted to the Editorial Office. Neville Compton will give his personal insights into these topics based on over 25 years in the job.
