Prof. Ma Zifeng from Shanghai Jiao Tong University visited ECUST, September 13, 2016

On September 13th, invited by Prof. Zhu Weihong (Dean of School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering), Professor Ma Zifeng (the chief scientist of Chinese National 973 Program, from Shanghai Jiao Tong University) visited our school. Prof. Ma gave a lecture titled “Electrochemical energy engineering——Frontier of Chemical Engineering Science”. Prof. Zhu Weihong hosted the lecture, Prof. Li Yongsheng, Hua Jianli, Jiang Hao, Ma Xiang, Guo Zhiqian also attended the lecture.
In the lecture, Prof. Ma first shared his own learning experience and research interest with participants. After that, combining with research and practice in fuel cells and electrochemical energy storage, he stated that electrochemical energy engineering occupied very important status in the frontier of chemical engineering technology innovation. Prof. Ma also introduced development prospect and application of fuel cell in the field of new energy vehicles.
Electrochemical energy, which involving power batteries, fuel cells and super capacitors and other electrochemical energy materials and device design, manufacture and application of principles, was a new energy technology based on the theory of electrochemical energy storage and conversion. The innovation of electrochemical energy engineering and technology will bring new impetus for the development of new energy vehicles and energy storage industry. After the lecture, Prof. Ma discussed with participants and exchanged opinions.
