On April 28th, invited by Prof. Tian He, Prof. Wang Shutao (the National Outstanding Youth Fund Owner, from Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, CAS) visited our school. Prof. Wang first visited the Key Laboratory for Advanced Materials. Prof. Tian made a detailed introduction of the construction, development of the Key Lab. In the visit, Prof. Wang discussed with young teacher of the Key Laboratory and exchanged opinions. Prof. Zhang attended the 148th "Famous Teacher Forum" and gave a lecture titled "Controllable cell adhesion interface". Prof. Long Yitao hosted the lecture and Prof. Tian He, Hua Jianli, Liu Peinian, Cheng Yi also attended the lecture.

    For multi-scale biological interface chemistry and regulation of Interfacial adhesion properties, Prof. Wang Shutao proposed ‘structure and molecular recognition’ -- synergistic biological recognition adhesion effect. For the early diagnosis of cancer, his work focus on detection of cancer cell in blood with antiadhesion interface materials and efficient biometric identification adhesion device, and also much progress had been known recently. Through research of different adhesion interface, Prof. Wang explained the relationship between interfacial structure and cell specific expression, and found a series of efficient specific adhesion interface. With noninvasive regulation of out-field molecular, Wang using stimulation to response interface achieve the response of specific cell adhesion and anti-adhesion, which show new way for the detection of critical diseases.
