On July 3rd, invited by Prof. Tian He (Academician of CAS, Dean of School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering), Prof. Meng Qingbo from Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Physics visited our university. He attended the 128th “Famous Teacher Forum” and gave a lecture titled “Research progress of perovskite solar cell”. Prof. Hua Jianli hosted the lecture and Prof. Tian He, Zhang Jinlong, Zhu Linyong, Zhong Xinhua, Hua Jianli, Xie Yongshu, Wang Qiaochun also attended the lecture. After the lecture, Prof. Meng visited the Key Laboratory for Advanced Materials.
Prof. Meng first introduced the structure, working principle and the latest progress of perovskite type solar cell, mainly focused on the innovative work of his team in the CAS Institute of Physics, included regulated the use of interface engineering interface structure achieved without a hole transport material (HTM) perovskite first breakthrough battery photoelectric conversion efficiency of 10%; based on carbon electrode without a hole transport materials (HTM) perovskite cell break 12% photoelectric conversion efficiency; the first use of atomic layer deposition technique without battery CH3NH3PbI3/Au HTM perovskite ultrathin Al2O3 layer interface and the introduction of small organic molecules TPB electron blocking layer, construct the M-I-S structure, effectively restrained the composite of photogenerated electrons, improved the collection efficiency and cell performance of long wavelength optical carriers; used a semiconductor heterojunction diode model combined with AC impedance spectroscopy heterojunction characteristics of no hole transport material perovskite cell was studied, got the battery positive current transport mechanism and explained the perspective of high open circuit voltage electrical characteristics exist in perovskite cell; in the novel hole transport materials, the cell efficiency rised to 13.2%. Finally, he reviewed the problems and opportunities existing in this new type of solar cell pertinent. After the lecture, he discussed with participants and exchanged opinions.
