Prof. Li Jinghong from Tsinghua University visited our school

On September 26th, invited by Prof. Long Yitao, Prof. Li Jinghong (Changjiang Scholar Professor, the National Outstanding Youth Fund Owner) from Tsinghua University visited our school.

First, Prof. Li attended the 132th "Famous Teacher Forum" and gave a lecture titled "Electrochemical And Biological Analysis Of Graphene". Prof. Long Yitao hosted the lecture and Prof. Liu Honglai, Zhong Xinhua, Hua Jianli also attended the lecture.

As the famous expert of electroanalytical chemistry and biochemical analysis, electrochemistry and electrochemical energy, nano electrochemistry and electrochemical, Prof. Li launched the lecture from two parts: three landmark event of nanotechnology development and discovery and application of graphene materials first. He introduced the progress of graphene quantum electrochemical effects, graphene modified electrode, graphene electrochemical sensor, graphene chemical biology of his group. Furthermore, he discussed and prospect for the development of future graphene, graphene industrialization prospects of application problems. After the lecture, Prof. Li discussed with participants and exchanged opinions.

Prof. Dr. Li, born Dec. 1967.  B.Sc. from University of Science and Technology of China in 1991, and Ph.D. from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry (CIAC), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 1996. Post doc or research scientist at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of California at Santa Barbara, Clemson University, and Evonyx Inc., New York (1997-2001). A Professor at CIAC from May 2001 and Tsinghua University from July 2004. Current research interests include electroanalytical chemistry and bioanalysis, physical electrochemistry and interfacial electrochemistry, electrochemical materials science and nanoscopic electrochemistry, fundamental aspects of energy conversion and storage, advanced battery materials, and photoelectrochemistry.
