Prof. Fan Chunhai from SINAP visited our university

On October 27th, invited by Prof. Long Yi-Tao, Prof. Fan Chunhai (the National Outstanding Youth Fund Owner, CAS Hundred Scientists Inductees, the Chief Scientist of the National 973 Program, from Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, CAS) visited our school. Prof. Fan attended the 134th "Famous Teacher Forum" and gave a lecture titled "Dynamic organization and application of DNA nanostructures". Prof. Long Yi-Tao hosted the lecture.

In the lecture, Prof. Fan introduced latest cutting-edge work, included development of DNA nanotechnology, research DNA tetrahedron structure as an electrochemical theory, application of sensing probe cells, which enlightened the students with creative thinking and working methods. He also detailed the latest achievements of his group, for example, applied DNA origami materials on electrochemical sensor, chemical nano reactor, "one step" electrochemical detection device. What is more, Prof. Fan discussed and looked forward the future development of DNA nano materials, application prospect.

After the lecture, Prof. Fan discussed with participants and exchanged opinions. He also visited the analysis laboratory of the Innovation Research Groups Project “Optical-Electronic Analytical Chemistry on Interface” and had an ardent discussion with the teachers and students of the Key Laboratory.
