Dec. 16th, the first session of the 4th Conference of the Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory of Functional Materials Chemistry, Shanghai was held in our school. Prof. Chen Kaixian (Academician of CAS, Director of the academic committee of the key lab, president of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine), Prof. Zhang Yukui from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics(Academician of CAS, Vice-Director of the academic committee of the key lab), Prof. Li Lin from Shanghai Institute of Biological Science (Academician of CAS) all attended the conference. The conference was presided by Prof. Mu Bozhong (Director of the Department of Science and Technology). Vice President of ECUST, Prof. Tu Shandong gave a welcome speech.

    Prof. Lan Minbo (Director of the key lab) gave a work report on the construction and development of the key lab in the past year, and three young professors also gave their research reports, respectively. After the discussion, all experts gave full recognition of the achievements of the key lab and raised constructive suggestions.

    Experts thought that the key lab remained a positive developement in 2013 with a clear research direction, distinctive features, accurate overall positioning and achieved a number of innovations. They hoped that the key lab would get further cohesion in their further developement an achieve better results.
