Prof. Li Can visited our school and gave an invited lecture

Nov. 11th, invited by Prof. Lu Guanzhong (Chief scientist of “973" project), Researcher Professor Li Can from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics visited our university. Researcher Li gave a lecture titled "Research and industrialization of bio-degradable polymer materials". Prof. Lu Guanzhong hosted the lecture, faculties and students attended the lecture.

Prof. Li Can focuses on the area of chiral science and technology, solar energy research, spectroscopic. In the lecture, Prof. Lu introduced the characteristic, pro and cons of homogeneous catalysis and heterogeneous catalysis, and indicated that the combination of homogeneous catalysis and heterogeneous catalysis would be a challenging work. Combining with his own work, Prof. Li introduced variety methods for preparation of heterogeneous chiral catalysts taking advantage of the concept of nano reactor, and achieved the combination of homogeneous catalysis and heterogeneous catalysis. Meanwhile, he introduced the micro environment of chemical engineering of the nano reactor and biological enzyme catalyst in the nano reactor. After the lecture, Researcher Li discussed with participants and exchanged opinions.
